An intense discussion has ensued recently on the Dynamo’s «date of birth». Since the 60’s, November 1927 has been mentioned in a wealth of publications. However there is not a single document proving this. The dates provided by different researchers encompass the time framework May 13, 1927 (the foundation of the Proletarian Sports Society - PSS) through July 1, 1928 (the team’s first known game in Bila Tserkva).
The date is depicted on the club’s modern emblem and is fixed in FIFA and UEFA official documents and directories. It is probably high time to dot the “i”s and cross the “t”s in the story. The PSS Dynamo was registered on May 13, 1927 and later included the football squad. The proof may be found in the Central State Archive. With the lack of any other documents, May 13, 2007 should be considered the date of the club’s foundation.The only thing left to be done is to officially recognize the date.
